a handful works so far...

Perhaps later on I will go into detail in different posts.

Motion Sickness Of Time Travel

 Telepathy (speaks for itself)
The effects are choppy, buzzing, erratic, full of rhythm and are still smooth, like a stream of consciousness. The vocals and the bits of higher pitched sounds balance out. I love the contrast. I feel as if their music in my ears has the same effect of light and shadow against my closed eyelids.
And so... in the painting I placed a somewhat large canvas on the sidewalk on a windy, sunny day and traced the shadows of the tree closest to me with black paint. The branches are not only what they are, but also represents the stream of consciousness transferring and lingering into and throughout the minds of two people. There will be pushes and pulls between the figures and not as much color as I usually use, but always in the skin tone to reflect temperatures and moods. One figure gazes at the viewer with a blank stare to allow mystery and space into whatever the viewer imagines or is currently feeling. Does he/she know what you are thinking?
Telepathy is much more intense, which is why it goes with the first figure, staring into you.

Absolute Pigment
I have not fully decided, because I have not worked on the second figure yet, but since this song is calm and causes me to enter into deep thought -I see the face larger, head turned, looking away- into space. This figure is larger, which accentuates the value on the subject of thought.

That is all I have to say about this work now. It's not even halfway completed yet.

for a listen...
